Parramatta. Review of refusal sought

Southern Cross Enterprises has asked Parramatta City Council to review its refusal to grant an application for the redevelopment of a heritage-listed church and adjacent hall, on the corner of Palmer and Church Streets, in the CBD. The application was for the demolition of the existing heritage-listed church hall, restoration of the heritage-listed church for use as a restaurant/bar and construction of a 13-storey hotel, containing 50 rooms, conference facilities, gym, pool and bar over basement parking for 54 vehicles. The application was deemed not in the public interest.
