Kings Park. Noni B expects profit fall

Women’s fashion retailed, based at Kings Park, expects net profit to be more than halved to between $2 million and $2.5 million, for the first half of 2008-09. The group earned $5.7 million in the same period last year. Noni B opened 12 new stores during the half year bringing the total across the country to 211. More are expected to be opened during the second half of the year, depending on leasing arrangements. The company said that following the Federal Government's economic stimulus package, sales had improved significantly, and after-Christmas sales had been above last year's.
