Sydney Olympic Park. SOPA reduces staff

The Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) implemented its “most significant” restructure in the 2007-08 financial year and reduced its staff by more than 30 per cent., “reflecting the authority’s determination to streamline its operations,” said CEO, Alan Marsh, in the annual report. “The challenge now is to find innovative ways to do more with less.” Mr Marsh said SOPA’s financial performance had enabled it to reduce its reliance on NSW Government funding, which had declined by 71 per cent since 2003.
