Region. Economic board to cease in July

The Parramatta-based Greater Western Sydney Economic Development Board will cease to exist from July 1, with the Australian Government’s decision to create Regional Development Australia (RDA). The RDA replaces all economic development boards across the nation and the government’s Area Consultative Committees, one of which is GROW Sydney, also based in Parramatta. The RDA will have a broader, more strategic role to facilitate relationships between government and regional communities, and responsiveness to local needs
