Parramatta. $10,000 for Supercross event

Parramatta City Council has contributed $10,000 to the 2009 Supercross event to be held at Parramatta Stadium, in November. Over 15,000 people attended the event last year and promoters expect attendance of 18,500 this year. Council assessed the contribution to the local economy from the one-night event could be an estimated $1.3million. The event will be televised domestically and overseas.
