Penrith. Economic body has new plan
The Penrith Valley Economic Development Corporation has adopted a new five-year strategic plan. By 2014, the PVEDC sees itself as a "highly effective architect and first port of call for sustainable growth in the Penrith region". The corporation is finalising a Deed of Agreement with council which requires the PVEDC to support the creation of 40,000 jobs by 2031. The plan will be officially launched on December 3 under the corporation’s new name and logo. Paul Brennan, PVEDC chairman, said the plan’s adoption was a major milestone for the revamped organisation.
