Smithfield. 'Shamed' for the second time

The NSW Food Authority has “named and shamed” the Red Rooster outlet, at Smithfield, for the second time in less than a year. With six separate fines to its name, the fast food restaurant, on the Cumberland Highway, has more listings on the authority’s website than any other business in the Fairfield local government area. Red Rooster has clocked up almost $4000 in fines after visits from inspectors in November last year. A total of 1710 NSW businesses are listed on the “name and shame” website. Almost 50 are from Fairfield, according to the Fairfield Advance.
