The Hills. Alive and booming

The Hills Shire Mayor, Peter Dimbrowsky, said the focus for 2010 was on planning for growth, attracting investment in jobs, creating homes and confirming its place as Sydney’s Garden Shire. Major infrastructure projects revolve around upgrading main town centres, including the beautification of Castle Hill’s main street. “Plans are now under way to create opportunities for Baulkham Hills and Carlingford to deliver thriving, living centres,” he said Another key direction for the council was positioning the Hills as a destination for tourists with new signature events being developed.
