Region. UWS honours two women

The University of Western Sydney has awarded two women with Honorary Doctorate of Letters degrees. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Janice Reid, said the university was honoured to present the degree to Emeritus Professor Denise Bradley in recognition of her passion and lifelong dedication to education, and its ability to change people's lives. Professor Reid said Ms Mary Foley, a former and the longest serving Board of Trustees member, had played an instrumental role in setting the strategic directions and profile of the university as it moved from the networked university, of three affiliated institutions, to an integrated and focused institution serving Greater Western Sydney. Ms Foley retired from the Board of Trustees in 2009.
