Penrith. Receivers for shopping centre
David Winterbottom, of KordaMentha, has been appointed receiver to Pipven Pty Ltd, owner of the Penrith at Home retail centre (formerly SupaCenta Penrith), which has Spotlight, Bing Lee, Freedom Furniture and JB Hi-Fi as tenants. He intends to continue operating the centre on a business as usual basis. Earlier council approved an expansion, which Harvey Norman opposes because it would take up much of the parking area outside the store on the adjacent site, affect business and create traffic jams. Mr Winterbottom has appointed CB Richard Ellis to manage the centre and to steer the leasing process, according to The Australian Financial Review.
