Penrith. New CEO for TVS

Rachel Bentley, UWS media lecturer and associate head of the school of communication arts, has been appointed the new CEO of TVS, a not for profit community television channel broadcasting from the university’s Penrith campus. Ms Bentley brings more than 25 years of media production experience to help shape the exciting new direction for the station. She was head of training for the Sydney Olympic Broadcasting Organisation and is executive producer of the TVS programs, Histrionics, and the award winning Dare I Ask?, which was jointly produced by Metro Screen. Former CEO, Laurie Patton, announced in April he would step down as CEO. Harold Mitchell, head of Mitchell Communication Group, is the new chairman of TVS. Mr Mitchell has been a non-executive director on the board of TVS. Geoffrey Roberson, of Champion Legal, in Parramatta, was the former chairman.
