Region. Professor awarded medal

Professor Peter Cornish, in the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Western Sydney, has been recognising for a lifetime of achievement in research and agricultural leadership in being presented with the C. M. Donald Medal for Agronomy, by the Australian Society of Agronomy. Professor Cornish, from, joined UWS in 1993 as the Foundation Vincent Fairfax Professor of Agriculture (Farming Systems) after working for the CSIRO and NSW Agriculture. While Professor Cornish has since retired from the position, he continues to be a key member of the faculty and has a strong his interest in helping rural communities. His focus is now on sustainable rural development in Eastern India.
