Ryde. Floods take toll on company

The Quensland floods have taken a toll on profits at engineering services company, A J Lucas, based at Macquarie Park. The company has warned of “considerable delay” to work it is carrying out at Chevron’s $43 billion Gorgon liquefied natural gas project in Western Australia. The company said despite the poor start to the financial year, it expects more favourable conditions in calendar 2011, when there is likely to be new irrigation, coal seam methane and water infrastructure projects.
