Parramatta. $51.9 million proposal in the CBD

Parramatta City Council has on public exhibition an application by Nationwide News for a $51.9 million staged redevelopment of two lots at 142 Macquarie Street in premises occupied by the Parramatta Advertiser. Stage 1 would be the construction of a 6-storey retail/commercial building with a floor area of 16,407 square metres fronting George Street, now used as a car park. Stage 2 seeks a conceptual approval for the construction of a commercial/retail building with a floor area of 37,873 square metres. The application is on public exhibition until April 20.
