Region. Tomatoes in parkland

The NSW Government has granted a lease for a $24 million glasshouse project to Bennelong Holdings Pty Ltd, on 16 hectares of Western Sydney Parklands, to grow tomatoes. The project would create 110 full time jobs and 6.5 million kilograms of truss tomatoes. Bennelong Holdings executive director, James Hamilton, said the project was the first in a series of national large-scale urban glasshouse developments being planned by the company.
