Parramatta. What the city does not need

Parramatta Lord Mayor, Lorraine Wearne, wants the state government to fully consult the community regarding its masterplan for the Parramatta Heritage Precinct, which includes Old Kings School, the Female Factory, the Old Catholic Orphanage, the Cumberland Hospital site, Parramatta Stadium, Parramatta Park and Parramatta Gaol. “What Parramatta needs is a masterplan that truly reflects the full potential of the precinct. What we do not want to see is a pile of unimaginative high-rise apartments that does nothing to enliven the precinct,” she said.
