Rhodes and Burwood are strategic centres
Rhodes and Burwood have been identified as strategic centres in the draft strategy for the Inner West subregion. Rhodes will continue to be developed as a specialised centre by building on its business park and retail hub with job numbers set to increase from 5700, in 2001 to 11,700, in 2031. Over the next 25 years, Burwood will strengthen its role as a major centre with increased commercial and housing opportunities and the number of local jobs growing from 9500, in 2001, to 13,000 in 2031.
