Bankstown. Airport movements increase

Bankstown Airport is ranked the 26th busiest in the world behind Mexico City and in front of San Francisco airports, and is the busiest in Australia, based on the latest movement data available from AirServices Australia, which said: “The operators at Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown have seen solid growth in business demand for charter, freight and flying training operations.” Kim Ellis, CEO, Sydney Metro Airport Bankstown, said 362,206 movements were recorded in 2008. Movements at Camden were also on the increase “This activity translates into direct flow-on economic impacts across the airports,” Mr Ellis said.
