Eastern Creek. $30 million processing centre

The public exhibition period has been extended to May 29 for the Light Horse Business Centre’s proposal to construct and operate a $30 million materials processing centre and engineered landfill, at Eastern Creek. The centre involves the import, sorting, separating and crushing of recycled building and construction materials and the engineered landfill involves filling the existing quarry with specified material to enable the land to be developed for future employment uses. When operational 120 workers would be employed.
