Fairfield. $100 million project on track

Construction of the $100 million a water treatment plant, in Fairfield, is on track and will operational by mid-2011,'' according to Water Minister Phil Costa. Recycled water will be distributed to businesses in the Smithfield and Rosehill areas through a 20km network of disused gas pipes. The project, one of the biggest in the state is part of the NSW Government’s Sydney Metropolitan Water Plan.
