Eastern Creek. Multi-purpose raceway

Work is under way at the Eastern Creek International Raceway to turn the motor-sport corridor into a multi-purpose venue. Raceway GM, Geoff Arnold, said a $7 million redevelopment had the support of Blacktown City Council and the state government. "What we will wind up with is a circuit that is right for pretty much anything that races anywhere in the world, bar F1s," he said. The raceway played host to the Cycle Australia Road World Challenge recently and music festivals are on the radar.
