North Ryde. Uni gets $4.5 million
The National Health and Medical Research Council will provide Macquarie University with $4.5 million for projects in 2012 - almost double the $2.3 million it provided in 2011. "This affirmation of Macquarie's growing profile in health and medical research confirms our decision to co-locate the Australian School of Advanced Medicine and the Macquarie University Private Hospital, the first campus-based private hospital in Australia," he said Professor Jim Piper, deputy vice-chancellor research.
