Promotion for Eat Street

In an effort to support the restaurants in the Eat Street precinct in Church Street from dust and other inconveniences during the nearby construction of the two-tower Meriton Apartments and the proposed Lennox Car Park project, council will consider undertaking a comprehensive promotion of the area.

Second stage of masterplan

Parramatta City Council will undertake a second stage in master planning for the development of Riverside Theatres to identify a preferred option to become the focus of future development efforts including fundraising. Attempts will be made  to resolve issues associated with the potential development of the adjoing car park by the Lidis Group

Upgrade of open space

Parramatta City Council has prepared a draft masterplan for the 4.4-hectare Robin Thomas Reserve and James Reserve, the most significant open space, at the eastern end of the CBD, to cater to the increasing number of city workers and current and proposed residents of nearby high-density developments.

Place of worship

Q T Nguyen has DA approval for the fitout and use of level one, at 125 Church Street, in the Parramatta CBD, as a function centre and a place of worship for the Filipino community. In the past the premises has been used as a restaurant.

Six-storey kids care centre

Parramatta City Council has approved  a six-storey childcare centre, at 12 Cowper Street, in the Parramatta CBD, to accommodate 78 children, plus a maximum staff of 12 people.

Win at first attempt

The Parramatta-based Sydney Water’s approach to managing customer complaints has been accredited by Australia’s top customer service organisation, the Customer Service Institute of Australia (CSIA). Sydney Water manager of customer interaction, Kathy Hourigan, said Sydney Water has a very unique approach to managing customer complaints..“This was our first attempt at receiving this certification so it’s a terrific achievement, “ she said
