New research from Macquarie University may hold the key to more cost-effective, energy-efficient, durable and easy-to-use fibre optics in mobile phones for example. Specialist have been developing a new prototype which is made from a “bubbly” polymer fibre, a less expensive process than the traditional method, said Quest, the university’s research publication.
