Parramatta. Arab Film Festival

The Parramatta-based Arab Film Festival Australia, which conducted its first event in 2001, will mount its 2012 season, at the Riverside Theatres, from June 28-July 1, before visiting Melbourne and Canberra. In 2011, over 3000 people from both Arabic and non-Arabic backgrounds attended over 4 days in Parramatta. Strategic partners and supporters include Parramatta City Council, Etihad Airways, Arts NSW, World Media International, Radio 2moro, Port Bar and Restaurant, and the Council of Arab Australian Relations. The festival is managed by Information and Cultural Exchange (ICE), in Parramatta.
