Sydney Olympic Park. New masterplan

The residential and working population of Sydney Olympic Park is to be significantly boosted following the release of the $154 million Sydney Olympic Park Masterplan 2030. Under an earlier plan the population of the park was to house 3000 residents, 10,000 workers and 1000 students. The masterplan proposes a residential population of 14,000, up to 28,500 workers and some 5000 students. The average building height could 25 storeys. The upgrading would comprise nine precincts, one of which would be 16,700 square metres of residential space and 287,300 square metres of commercial space. A sports and education precinct would be home to 5000 students.
