New CEO for SOPA

Former CEO, of the Darling Harbour Authority and current deputy director, of the Department of Commerce, Alan Marsh, will take up the position of CEO, of the Sydney Olympic Park Authority, on February 1. In announcing the appointment, the Minister for Planning, Frank Sartor, said a new phase of commercial development had recently commenced and would accelerate in the coming year, along with substantial residential development. SOPA’s website said resident numbers would be up 15,000 by 2025, with a similar number in workers and students.

Lawyer and business woman former Australian netball captain, Liz Ellis, has been appointed to the SOPA board. She is also on the boards of NSW Institute of Sport and the State Sports Centre based at SOP.

BankWest expands its services

BankWest will join a financial planning network on March 1 with financial advisers located in its Parramatta branches offering products provided by St Andrew’s Australia, the wealth management arm of HBOS Australia to which BankWest, based in Western Australia, belongs.
