Region. Take up of the internet

Baulkham Hills (74.7 per cent), Camden (65.6 per cent) and Wollondilly (61.0 per cent) topped the ladder of Western Sydney households connected to the internet, at the time of the 2006 census. Baulkham Hills was marginally beaten into second place in the metropolitan area by Ku-ring-gai (75.3 per cent). Of Western Sydney’s three regional cities Penrith (58.3 per cent) had the most households connected, followed by Parramatta (55.4 per cent) and Liverpool (54.5 per cent). The top three Western Sydney LGAs with the greatest increase over the 2001 figures were Auburn (244.3 per cent), Fairfield (270.2 per cent) and Bankstown (185.6 per cent)
