Merrylands. Local lad makes good

Gerry Khouri has come a long way since he built his first Bufori motor car, in the Merrylands family garage, in 1986 The Bufori Motor Car Company Pty. Ltd, which specialises in building cars in the classic design of the 1930's, incorporating state-of-the-art technology, now manufactures a range of exclusive handcrafted luxury vehicles located in Kuala Lumpur, having relocated its head office and production to Malaysia, in 1994. The company unveiled its Bufori Geneva model, at the Geneva International Motor Show, in March. Bufori has a worldwide dealer network including in Germany, USA, Czech Republic as well as in Malaysia and Australia.

Parramatta. Servcorp returns to the CBD

The serviced and virtual office group, Servcorp Pty Ltd, is proposing to return to the Parramatta CBD with the lodgement of a DA, with Parramatta City Council, for the fitout of 13 offices, on level one of The Octagon building, at 100 George Street, Parramatta. For many years Servcorp resided at nearby 91 George Street, in premises now operated by serviced and virtual office entity, Westcorp, which has 36 organisations on its books. Other Servcorp facilities in the region are located in North Ryde and Norwest Business Park.

Region. Leaders forum at SOP

Key leading Australian industry speakers from QMI, CSIRO, IBM and AI Group will explore the themes of new manufacturing opportunities, sustainability and innovation, at the 2010 Western Sydney Manufacturing Leaders Forum, a key activity in NSW Manufacturing Week, Western Sydney. Regional Development Australia (RDA) Sydney, will host the forum and cocktail function, at the Novotel, at Sydney Olympic Park on May 3. The event commences at 5.30pm. It’s free.
