Wollondilly. Opposition to development

Community groups have urged residents to lobby Wollondilly Council to stop a proposed industrial development. Council has announced that a planning proposal had been received which sought to rezone land in order to allow the construction of four industrial parks, on 240 hectares to the south of Menangle. This site is part of a 600- hectare area where a rail port and industrial park were first proposed in 2005.
