Penrith. Partnership with CSU
From 2012 students at Jamison High School’s Medical Trade School, In Penrith, will be able attain both a Certificate III in Health Services (delivered in partnership with TAFE NSW, Western Sydney Institute) and credits for direct entry into Charles Sturt University’s (CSU) Nursing Bachelor Degree program. “Our goal is to make tertiary education not only possible for our students, but highly probable. And our partnership with CSU will support our school’s goal in this regard”, the school’s principal, Graham Hodgkins, commented. The work of the school and the partnerships it has forged with TAFE NSW and Charles Sturt University would be integral to the building a health and education precinct in Penrith, said Paul Brennan, chairman of the Penrith Business Alliance.
