Villawood. National headquarters

Sunny Australia Lighting, at Revesby, a lighting importer and distributor, has paid $6.25 million for a 7264-square-metre, free-standing office-warehouse, on a 14,450-square-metre site, in Villawood, for its national headquarters.

Sydney Olympic Park. Sign of recovery

Accor Hotels, which operates the Pulman, Novotel, Ibis and Formule 1 properties, at Sydney Olympic Park, plus 28 throughout Sydney, said most were full thanks to the World Master Games “I think the World Masters Games definitely is going to signal the starting point for a recovery in hotels,” said Garth Simmons, regional GM, for Accor’s NSW hotels, in The Daily Telegraph. The Novotel and Ibis hotels were fully booked for the V8 Supercars event in December

Parramatta. Council forgoes $5 million

Parramatta City Council will lose $5 million annually through the introduction of new operating procedures giving council officers more discretion when issuing tickets. Council is considering implementing a three-person appeal panel to give drivers a chance to challenge fines prior to them going to the State Debt Recovery Office. "The system needed an overhaul," Lord Mayor, Paul Garrard, said.

Penrith. Proposed hospital project

The Penrith Health Campus Redevelopment project, at Nepean Hospital, is on public exhibition until October 26. The project comprises: a new east block to include an ambulatory procedure centre, 33 day beds and 60 overnight beds, level 1 car park; expansion and refurbishment of the existing north block to provide additional intensive care unit services; increasing renal dialysis stations in the west block; and associated engineering services, car parking, landscaping and site works.
