Parramatta. MOU with Custom Coaches

Parramatta-based ComfortDelGro Cabcharge (CDC), the second-largest operator of commuter buses in NSW, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire bus builder Custom Coaches, based in Smithfield, giving CDC an intial 35 per cent of the Australian bus-building market. CDC is a subsidiary of Singapore-based ComfortDelGro Corporation (51 percent) and Australian taxi and taxi payment company Cabcharge (49 percent). Custom Coaches, which has been in business for 54 years, has bus-building factories for fabricated stainless steel buses in Smithfield, in Western Sydney, at Royal Park, in Adelaide, and Arundel, on the Gold Coast.
