Region. Professor awarded top prize twice

Professor Price, from the University of Western Sydney School of Biomedical and Health Sciences and School of Medicine, has won the prestigious Ollé Prize for an outstanding monograph on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). He is one of the world's leading experts on NMR, which is a versatile and powerful research tool for studying physical changes in almost any substance or object in great detail. It is also widely used in hospitals for clinical imaging where it is better known by the acronym MRI. The Royal Australian Chemical Institute awards the Ollé Prize to a member of the institute who submits the 'best treatise, writing or paper' on any subject relevant to the institute's interests. This is the second time Professor Price has received the award. He regularly hosts eminent researchers at his laboratory on the UWS Campbelltown campus as part of an international exchange of knowledge and expertise.

Region. Cookie Man sale expected soon

The operators of India's Cookie Man are in the running to take over the Sydney-based Cookie Man business, which has seven outlets in Western Sydney. Liquidator, Peter Hillig, a partner of Smith Hancock accountants, said the Chennai-based company was among companies seeking to buy the business. He hoped the sale would be finalised by the end of the week The Australian Cookie Man franchise is part of the Brisbane franchise management group, Allied Brands, which has gone into administration.
