Region. Professor awarded top prize twice
Professor Price, from the University of Western Sydney School of Biomedical and Health Sciences and School of Medicine, has won the prestigious Ollé Prize for an outstanding monograph on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). He is one of the world's leading experts on NMR, which is a versatile and powerful research tool for studying physical changes in almost any substance or object in great detail. It is also widely used in hospitals for clinical imaging where it is better known by the acronym MRI. The Royal Australian Chemical Institute awards the Ollé Prize to a member of the institute who submits the 'best treatise, writing or paper' on any subject relevant to the institute's interests. This is the second time Professor Price has received the award. He regularly hosts eminent researchers at his laboratory on the UWS Campbelltown campus as part of an international exchange of knowledge and expertise.
