Castle Hill. National company for sale

KordaMentha have been appointed as receivers to the largest national contract cleaning and security business, the Melbourne-based Reflections Group, which has its NSW office in Castle Hill. Its clients include Centro, Westfield, Mirvac Stockland and GPT Group. The business has annual revenues of $150 million and approximately 3000 employees.

Parramatta. Trade mission to China

Moore Stephens, Zhinar Architects, TRM Group, Toland Architects, ANZ Bank, Taurus Trade Finance, Pivotal HR and Grima Recycling are among the businesses included in the Parramatta City Council and the Asia Business Connection trade mission to China, from September 6-14. Austrade and Industry and Investment NSW will provide briefings in China and assist in organising networking opportunities. AMP CEO, Craig Dunn, has offered the support of the Beijing office. Parramatta Lord Mayor, Paul Garrard, has been invited by the Yiwu Government to lead a delegation from Western Sydney to explore opportunities for regional companies to do business with China. The Asia Business Connection, affiliated to the Parramata-based Western Sydney Business Connection, is the only organisation in the Greater West dedicated solely to the development and growth of business in the Asia Pacific region.

Region. $18.5 million sale finalised

Builder and developer, AVJennings has finalised the sale of its contract building division to Sekisui House Australia Holdings Pty Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sekisui House Group, the largest private home builder in Japan. The division was sold for $18.5 million. AVJennings will license to Sekisui House the ‘AVJennings’ brand and associated trademarks for use in the contract building business. Sekisui House has a substantial presence in the Australian property market, having acquired three housing development projects in mid 2009 in Wentworth Point (Homebush Bay) and Camden Hills in NSW and Ripley Valley in Queensland.
