Region. Arthouse films in the suburbs

Event Cinemas has commenced programming arthouse and quality films in Parramatta, Castle Hill and Campbelltown, is response to customer demand. Paul Brennan, manager of boutique operations, at Events Cinemas”believes a large number of discerning filmgoers has been neglected for years (in the suburbs). They are largely female, well educated and conservative.

Newington, New CEO

Polly Bennett has been appointed CEO, of the NSW Food Authority and will commence duty on March 5. Ms Bennett has been working at a senior executive level for more than 20 years in both the public and private sectors and has strong business, communication and planning skills.

She has a wealth of experience in both state and local government with broad knowledge of the resources, agricultural and infrastructure sectors. Most recently she worked at Caltex Australia, as Manager Government Relations. She has also held senior positions with Sydney Ports Corporation and the ACT government.

Penrith. Authority seeks CEO

The Sydney Catchment Authority, based in Penrith, is seeking a CEO. The organisation is responsible for managing and protecting the bulk water supply for more than 4.5 million customers across Greater Sydney It has a budget of $130 million with a workforce of 250 people.
