Region. Business skills for creative people

The University of Western Sydney and UWSCollege will offer, in June 2012, 30 creative people the chance to develop the essential business skills of creative people and gain a nationally recognised qualification in creative business management through the new associate degree in Creative industries. Australia’s creative industries sectors are a major driver of the economy, worth an estimated $30 billion dollars with almost 300,000 people directly employed.

Campsie. Store for sale

Woolworths has put its Campsie store up for sale. It has an approximate gross lettable area of 3646 square metres. The property is occupied by a Woolworths supermarket as well as three specialty stores and includes onsite parking for 120 cars.

Minchinbury. Regulations restrict growth

The lack of suitable sites for new stores is crimping expansion and forcing Aldi to change its business model and move into established shopping centre rather than develop stand-alone stores because planning regulations are the single greatest impediment to its growth in the medium to long term. The German-based retailer has opened stores at the rate of 25 a year and expects to open its 300th store by the end of 2012..Aldo has a market share of between 5 per cent and 10 percent.
