Warren calls it a Day

Warren Day, general manager, of Champion Legal, in Parramatta, is leaving to take up an interest in an existing boutique consultancy business, with a view to growing that business. “I am also intending to undertake some work with a few businesses on a consultancy basis. Given the vagaries of running your own business, I am certainly interested in undertaking other part-time or temporary assignments whilst I build up this business,” he said.

Acquisition of properties for Civic Place project

Parramatta City Council has resolved to acquire a number of properties for its Civic Place masterplan. They include: 160 Church street, 12 Darcy Street, 14 Darcy Street, 20-22 Darcy Street, 24 Darcy Street, 26 Darcy Street and 28 Darcy Street. Council also resolved to compulsory acquire Darcy Street and Church, and close Darcy Street and Church Street.

Shuttle bus tender accepted

Parramatta City Council has accepted the tender of $341,78.22 (GST excluded) for three years submitted by Veolia Transport Pty Ltd, for the operation of a free weekly shuttle bus service in the Parramatta CBD, and the optional Saturday service, with two extensions on one year each.
