Parramatta. Rail plans submitted

Parramatta City Council will submit its plans to the federal government detailing why Parramatta should be considered as a future station for the proposed East Coast Fast Rail network. The government announced that it would undertake an East Coast Fast Rail $20m feasibility study that will include identifying land corridors, possible stations and estimated construction costs. The study is expected to take 18 months to complete.

Region. UWS is a finalist

The University of Western Sydney is a finalist in the federal government's Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) Business Achievement Awards. The awards recognise Australian businesses, organisations and individuals at the forefront of creating equitable workplaces. UWS is a finalist in the Minister's Award for Outstanding EEO Initiative/Result for the Advancement of Women. More than 30 organisations representing all states and a range of industries are vying for an EOWA Award.

Region. Briefing on rail projects

The Transport Construction Authority will conduct a briefing on current and future transport infrastructure initiatives, including the Parramatta to Epping Rail Link, the Western Express and South West Rail Link, on December 1, at 8.30am, at the Zenith Theatre and Convention Centre, Chatswood.
