Region. GPT offers scholarship to UWS

The GPT Group will offer a $10,000-a-year scholarship and up to four months paid work experience to a student striving to enter the property sector under a new partnership with the University of Western Sydney (UWS). The scholarship program, known as the GPT Award, will be offered within the bachelor of business and commerce (property) course and is set to strengthen sustainability and foster growth in the property sector. “UWS will work with GPT to provide access to fundamental resources and knowledge that will be enhanced by GPT’s practical, hands on involvement,” said vice-chancellor, Professor Janice Reid.

Rosehill. STC agrees to merge with AJC

The Sydney Turf Club has advised the NSW Government that it supports the merger of the STC and the Australian Jockey Club. “A single strong metropolitan club is pivotal for the future of racing in NSW and the AJC and STC Boards have shown great vision in supporting the merger,” said the Minister for Gaming and Racing, Kevin Greene.
