Rosehill. $15 million upgrade of STC stand

Gaming and Racing Minister, Kevin Greene, is expected to announce today the $15 million upgrade of a stand at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, as part of a $175 million package including a new Queen Elizabeth II stand at Randwick Racecourse. The provision of the package to the racing industry will be contingent on the Australian Jockey Club and Sydney Turf Club agreeing to merge in a bid to improve efficiencies. A grant of about $20 million will be made with the major part of the $175 million given as a "loan".
