New sites for the NBN Co network to commence construction within 12 months include Blacktown, Penrith, Lidcombe and Strathfield. Construction is currently underway in Richmond and Riverstone.

Sydney Olympic Park. Best performing

Sydney Olympic Park is the city’s best-performing metropolitan (non-CBD) market for office space with 0.7 per cent vacancy rate, according to Colliers International. A six storey commercial of 5800 square metres is under construction. Other commercial developments include a 24,000-square-metre building is due for completion in early 2012. Sydney Olympic Park contains 101,261 square metres of office space compared with 685,371 square metres in Parramatta.

Parramatta. 40 unit building

A seven-storey, 40-unit residential building is proposed on the site of the former Bike Barn shop, on the corner of Victoria Road and Sorrell Street, the new Coles supermarket in the Entrata residential building, and the Rose & Crown Hotel.
