Oatlands. Hundreds object to tourist project

Parramatta City Council received 298 objections to a proposed tourist facility comprising restoration of the heritage listed Oatlands House, at 42 Bettington Road, Oatlands, which would have included the construction of a part two- and part three-storey motel containing 98 rooms and a swimming pool over basement carparking for 84 vehicles, and construction of a single storey function centre for 336 persons over two levels of basement carparking for 112 vehicles. Babindo Pty Limited has withdrawn the application.

Rosehill. 100 horse stables approved

Construction of new two- storey building, at Rosehill Racecourse, 2B Grand Avenue, containing 100 horse stables and the extension of an existing tunnel running underneath the racing track, has been approved. The proposed works are to the south-western corner of the site. The applicant was Vic Lilli & Partners.

Camellia. Sydney Water subdivision

Billbergia Group Pty Ltd, acting as agent for Sydney Water has approval to subdivide land beneath and adjacent to the Clyde-Carlingford railway corridor into two lots to allow for the existing private roadway under the corridor to be contained upon its own lot and to allow for a separate adjoining allotment for future development of the Sydney Water site.
