Auburn. $61 million Cosco project

Cosco Wholesale Australia, proposes a $61 million project, at 17-21 Parramatta Road, Auburn. The concept plan and project application, on exhibition until November 20, seeks approval for the demolition of the existing warehouse, on a 2522-hectare site, construction of a new Costco wholesale/retail warehouse, of 16,376 square metres GFA, including an office for the Australian regional headquarters, to be relocated from leased premises in North Ryde. The project is expected to generate approximately130 construction jobs and 160 equivalent full-time jobs, plus 70 positions in the head office component, by 2011.

Parramatta. $14 million project approved

Parramatta City Council has approved the demolition of existing structures on the site of Blockbuster Video, at 459 Church Street, Parramatta, and construction of a part 7 and part 13 storey mixed use development containing 94 residential units and 2288 square metres of retail space over four levels of basement carparking for 186 vehicles. The estimated cost of development: $14 million.

Parramatta. DAs approved

Parramatta City Council has approved the fitout and part use of level 2, at 16 Wentworth Street, in the Parramatta CBD, as an educational establishment for up to 250 students The Parramatta Community College, currently located in George Strteet, in the CBD, has had a DA approved to occupy a suite, at 410 Church Street, as offices and and a classroom.
