Newington. November start for $120m project

Sydney apartment developer, Crown International, plans to commence comstruction of a $120 million, 183-apartment project, at Newington, in November… The project will comprise three blocks, each of four storeys, along with a pool, gym and some reatilaing, according to The Australia Financial Review. The company is building the 16-storey, 242-apartment Gallery by Crown complex, in Cowper Street, Harris Park..

Region. Award-winningl firms commended

Chairman of the Western Sydney Economic Development Board, Alan Pendleton, visited Pavement Management Services, at Seven Hills, and Fairfield RSL Club, to commended them for their winning achievements in the highly competitive 2008 Western Sydney Industry Awards. Pavement Management Services (PMS) is a high technology, civil engineering consultancy that specialises in infrastructure design and maintenance and won the Global Excellence, SME, award, and Fairfield RSL took out two awards: Excellence in Business Practice, People Management, Large Business and Regional Excellence, Outstanding Service, Large Business.

Bankstown. New appointment at airport

Bankstown Airport Limited has appointed Danny Eatock to the role of airport operations and compliance manager. His last appointment was with Queensland Airport Limited, as the organisation development manager, for the Gold Coast, Townsville and Mount Isa Airports. “This appointment reflects Bankstown Airport Limited's commitment to aviation especially as regulatory requirements and aircraft movement levels continue to grow. Danny's addition will bolster the aviation team to ensure we meet customer and regulatory expectations,” said airport CEO, Kim Ellis.
