Parramatta. EOI for new hotel in the CBD

Knight Frank, in Parramatta, has called for expressions of interest for the leasehold of a tavern to be included in St Hilliers Property's $100 million Exchange commercial development, in Argyle Street, opposite the Parramatta bus-rail interchange. The two-level tavern will include 30 gaming machines. The lease is for 20 years, with two five-year options. Construction of the building is expected to commence in May 2009, with an expected completion date 20 months later.

Parramatta. Urban planner wins an award

Andrew Bonnani, Parramatta City Council's urban designer has been awarded the Young Planner of the Year award, at the Planning Institute of Australia's 2008 awards for excellence in planning. Mr Bonnani was recognised for his contribution to urban design, particularly the facilitation of council's first design excellence competitions. The institute's annual awards for excellence acknowledge excellence, innovation and achievement in urban and regional planning.
