Sydney Olympic Park Two EOI called

The Sydney Olympic Park Authority has called for expressions of interest to develop, own and operate a licensed premises within Sydney Olympic Park. Tenders close on April 5. EOI close on May 10 to develop, own and operate a private hospital within the precinct

Region. Industrial market recovery

Growth in the logistics sector is underpinning a recovery in the Sydney industrial market according to a CBRE market review which said a range of third-party logistics providers were actively seeking space in Western Sydney, as were a number of larger corporates seeking to streamline their logistics operations. Peter Blade, of CBRE said CBRE industrial & logistics services, said a spate of logistics deals was expected in coming months, with groups such as Toll, DHL and Linfox actively seeking space. In one of the most recent deals NYK Logistics has sub-leased 5370 square metres of warehouse space, at Wetherill Park, to New Food Coatings, at a rental of $92.50 a square metre.

Region. Increase in property values

Property advisory group, Herron Todd White, said suburbs in Sydney’s south-west reported a 5 per cent or more increase in property values last year. Westmead, Auburn, Lidcombe, Wentworthville and Pendle Hill were stand-out performers.

Region. Expansion by Bunnings

Wesfarmers-owned Bunnings plans multi-level stores in Castle Hill and Smithfield as part of a nationwide expansion. Its latest is the $53 million Chatswood store, which includes 11,600 square metres of floor space over four levels and an underground carpark.
