Major education precinct at Westmead

The first stage of the Catholic Education Precinct, at Westmead, a primary school costing $25 million, is expected to commence in 2009, subject to council approval. Catherine McCauley Westmead and Parramatta Marist High will be incorporated in the state-of-the-art precinct but will continue to be independently administered. The proposed project will contain an out-of-school hours care service and trade-training centre.

Colliers International expands in Penrith

Colliers International has expanded its Penrith office as there was significant opportunity in the commercial, retail and industrial sectors, according to NSW state CEO, Malcolm Tyson. The office, set up in 2007 to focus on extractive industries and waste management, will build its the commercial and industrial agency business.

Multi-million dollar Optus Centre wins an award

The $350 million Optus Centre, the company's new head office at Macquarie Park, won the Bluescope Buildings Award for Business or industrial Parks category, in the Property Council and RLB Rider Levett Bucknall, 2008 National Innovation & Excellence Awards.
