Parramatta. Supercross event to go ahead
NSW Minister for Planning, Kristina Keneally, has approved the holding of the Sydney stage of the Australasian Supercross Championships, at Parramatta Stadium, scheduled for Saturday, November 8. The decision was made in time to prevent the people of Parramatta from losing the $1 million event to Homebush, where promoters had already begun establishing a fall back venue, according to The Daily Telegraph. The minister approved the event on condition it finished at 9.30pm.
