Free wireless service running late
The planned construction of a free wireless network in Parramatta, Liverpool , Penrith, Newcastle, Gosford, Wollongong and the Sydney CBD is nearly12 months behind schedule. A Department of Commerce spokesman said the 15 expressions of interest were still being evaluated. The successful tenderer would build, own and operate the free wi-fi network, recouping costs via advertising or other means.
